I co teraz?

Now what? [English version below.]

życie prywatne (ten tydzień to przede wszystkim urodziny Lubej Mej, siłownia i... <werble> Black Panther).

Tyle rzeczy do zrobienia, a mimo to mam poczucie pustki.

To oczywiście bzdura.

Akcent muzyczny? Coś co pewne już znacie. Ja też znam to nie od dziś, ale co z tego? Posłuchajmy:

To chyba tyle. Dobrego tygodnia, bez poczucia pustki, ale też bez przepracowania. Niech wszystkiego będzie w sam raz.

ENG:

Today I wrote the last exam in this session. One another semester is already behind me (or at least I hope so - I still have to wait for some results). I'm glad it's over. I'm fed up and tired. In my mind, however, there is only one question: "What now ?!". I would lie down. I would lay for eternity. I wouldn't even sleep, but simply vegetate with closed eyes.

It's not like I have nothing to take care of. It's opposite of that, actually. There is a lot to do. For example, I need to finish the article to the "Suplement", because only about half of it is ready for now and the deadline is approaching inexorably. I do not want the friendly Editor-in-Chief to start chasing me with the axe. She did not have to do so yet. What's more, this Saturday, I have my first classes in the next (already last!) semester. A new content to learn will appear. Still all the time I have to do my job and leave some time on the so-called private life (this week it is primarily determined by the birthday of My Darling, gym and ... <ruflles> Black Panther). You can see from the above that I do not complain about the excess of free time.

I do not mention the fact that I should be writing a master's thesis, and for now it is close to be finished like Huragan Wołomin is close to be Champions League winner. I hope, however, that this will change soon and the common thing will not be "not this year".

So many things to do, and yet I have a sense of emptiness. In recent weeks the session absorbed a lot of my day and suddenly it is all gone. No more sitting until the night with far too long presentations. So much time has been freed! What will I do with it? I am going to be bored.

This is obviously a nonsense. Simply, the things I mentioned earlier had to temporarily give way to learning and now they will gradually start to take up more and more time until the day becomes too short. The paradox is that I realize this, but the feeling of emptiness does not disappear. This, however, will change. It has to, because soon I will not have time to think about it again.

Meanwhile, I am in contradiction with myself, feeling a void that does not exist. I always knew that I was not quite normal ...

Song for today? Polish alternative. You can find it above.

I think that's all for now. Have a good week, without a sense of emptiness, but also without overwork. Let everything be just right.

Ogarnij się, leniu!

Get yourself together, you lazy bastard! [English version below].

Okej, zawsze to jakiś powód.
Pociągnijmy to ciut dalej:

"- Ok, a dlaczego nie miałeś siły? Co się dzieje?
 - Nie no, nic. Byłem w pracy przez cały tydzień..."

Nosz, cholera jasna!

Właśnie, bo to druga kwestia.

W grę wchodzą indywidualne predyspozycje i upodobania.

Jeśli natomiast chodzi o sam papierek magistra i nic więcej, to taniej byłoby go kupić. Serio.

Zostawiam Was z tą myślą i z przecudowną piosenką, którą odkryłem przed chwilą:

To by było na tyle. Studentom i niestudentom dobrego tygodnia! Następne wpisy będą już w ciut bardziej uniwersalnej tematyce.

ENG:

It took me a while to find a good topic for today's post. Failing to find a decent idea, I decided to pour some irritation out. The decision has already been made, and although more interesting ideas have appeared in the meantime, I have to be consistent. The ideas will stay for the next weeks, and today's text will be about studying. About students, being more precise. Session in progress, so the topic is very current.

"My studies, so beautiful." Exercises, lectures, you know that. Lately with the advantage of the latter. They are not obligatory, it is clear. A lot of people do not take part in them and that is ok. But ... They still would like to have some notes, right? I understand that there are different situations. There are important and more important matters. You could not be at the lecture, because there was your child's birthday, godson's birthday, the need to go to work, a trip for the whole weekend, illness or even drinking vodka with your brother-in-law. Okay, that's always a reason. Often, however, it happens that someone appears only at one lecture for a whole semester or even not, and his/her only justification every time is:
"I did not have strength anymore."
Ok, I do not judge. There are different situations. Maybe someone must take care of sick grandma, two children and manage the company at the same time. It happens, I guess. But, but! Let's pull it a bit further:
"- Ok, why did not you have strength? What's happening?
 - Nothing. I was at work all week ..."
Oh, damn it! Indeed, very surprising at extramural studies. After all, the remaining few hundred people stay at home for 5 days a week and laze, so they are in full strength when the weekend comes. No, it's not like that. I know that one job is uneven to the other. I can bet, however, that although I may not have the most tiring profession among my colleagues, I certainly do not have the least one and somehow I manage. I would also understand this argument if it appeared once or twice, but not every time. Then there is a great astonishment that with continuous absences you have a problem with passing the exams.

Well, it's the second issue. Difficulty to pass. I am of the opinion that it is enough to be present at the lecture and listen a little, then repeat the whole thing several times, without exaggeration (and it's really without the exaggeration, because there is not much time - there is work, minor social activities, a will to sleep at some decent minimum and keeping in touch with the family and friends) and most of the exams will be passed without major problems. With this approach, my worst grade in my studies was one, only 3,5. Moreover, it was the subject, which concerned taxes, so it might as well be about the construction of space ferries and would be similarly understandable to me.

It is known that everyone learn differently. Individual predispositions and preferences are at stake. However, without giving yourself a chance to listen to what the lecturer has to say, it is certainly harder. If you read the notes for the first time in the evening before the exam, it is not surprising that the results are what they are (that is, there are almost none). The next time you're going to say that you did not have time before, think about whether or not it is not a question of how you managed it. You could probably reduce all other activities to the necessary minimum for the two weeks of the session.

I'm unnecessarily nervous. In the end, it's an individual matter for everyone how he or she learns or does not learn. It pisses me off, however. People from my year spend ten thousand Polish new zlotys  for two years of education. Plenty of money, which could be used in a lot of interesting ways. Do they care to learn something by spending this money? I hope so. It must be however followed by specific actions. So far, there is no system that would make the knowledge flow into your head immediately after payment. If it's only about master's diploma itself and nothing more, it would be cheaper to buy it. Seriously. The chance that it would come to light someday is not so big.

I leave you with this thought and the wonderful song that I discovered a moment ago (you can find it above).

That's it. Have good week, students and the rest! The next entries will be in a more universal theme.
