Wiosna.

Spring. [English version below.]

To piękne.

W mieście to ponura część roku.

To głupie, bo działa tu dokładnie ten sam mechanizm.

Z tym Was zostawiam.

Dobrego tygodnia! I dobrej wiosny!

ENG:

Spring has just begun. The sun appeared, the world is coming to life and it shows. I was circling the city today, doing things: I got a new haircut, I was buying presents for my goddaughter, I was watching smartphones, considering buying a new one. At the same time, however, I watched people. What did I notice?

There are a lot of people walking around the streets. Everyone began to smile more. Street musicians came back, what is important in the UNESCO City of Music and what I love. Probably for the first time this year foodtrucks appeared on the Katowice market (okay, probably not just because of the better weather, since such a the thing had to be planned in advance, but it fits in the general trend). Spring started, the sun returned and the world took on colors. As Taco Hemingway sings in my beloved "Italodisco", "It turned out that just a little sunshine is enough, magic."

I thought it was wonderful that such a completely natural, fully expected thing could change the reality. Everyone knew perfectly well that spring would come. And it came, and suddenly the day after everybody behave differently. It does not matter that in most people lifes nothing important has changed at this time. The change of the season did not have much impact on their lives. They are still the same people, with the same problems, but by the appearance of a new, joyous season, not so quite. It is beautiful.

That's how I was thinking about how great it is. And then I thought about the next verse , in which Taco says "Return of depression probably after the holidays". It occurred to me that this is how it is. This is, of course, an exaggeration, an artistic move, but the fact is that in the autumn-winter months there is a deterioration in moods. This is a time of intense whining, complaining about the weather and temperature. Autumn can be picturesque, but winter? In the mountains yes, in the city rarely. It's a grim part of the year in the city.

It's stupid because the same mechanism works here. Everyone knows that gray outside, cold and lack of sun will end sometime. Everyone is already learning this in kindergarten. Nevertheless, we allow the season of the year to affect our mood negatively. We do not think about the past and the future. We focus only on the present. This often makes sense and it is advised by so many sages, advisors or coaches, more or less reliable. By this approach, however, we are not happy that spring and summer were there and will be there again. We miss and wait, but it's not the same.

Perhaps it is possible to change such a, to be honest, pessimistic approach? Maybe you can enjoy things that are not yet available at the moment, but they exist at all? Maybe let's try.

I leave you wtih that. The song for today is quite obvious - the title means "Spring" (but besides, listen to "Italodisco"). You can find it above.

Have a good week! And have a good spring!

Wehikuł czasu.

Time machine. [English version below.]

Dzień dobry, cześć, czołem!

Wczoraj. Sobota.

To były zresztą wspaniałe czasy. 4 lata.

Urlop dawno mam zaplanowany. To moje miejsce na ziemi. Do tego czasu jednak też mogę regularnie odbywać podróż w czasie. Właśnie poprzez muzykę. Dostępne choćby na Spotify pełne nagranie tego koncertu to mój mały, prywatny wehikuł czasu. Dobrze, że go mam!

A wy?

Dobrego tygodnia!

ENG:

Good morning, hello, hi!

Yesterday. Saturday. The first of the last 4 days of classes in my master's studies. I was on my way back home, quite happy with my life, the sun was shining and music played in the headphones. God bless Spotify! Suddenly, as another item in the playlist prepared for me by the algorithms, song posted above appeared.

Band: Coma. Song: Angela. Not an ordinary performance, but a concert version from Woodstock Music Festival 2014. At this point, I became totally delighted.

Why? Because I was there. I was at this concert. It was fantastic, one of the best I've ever taken part in and that's including the performances of foreign stars. The energy of the vocalist and the audience was incomparable to anything else. Several hundred thousand people on the festival field were enjoying themselves wonderfully. I am not exaggerating with the number at all - then I had the impression that everyone had crawled out of their tents. I saw the comparable amount of people only during the performance of the Nocny Kochanek (funny version of Night Mistress) last year. It was huge.

These were great times indeed. 4 years passed. It's not much, but almost everything can change during that period. Studies. Occupational situation. The level of advancement of the relationship. Much more, but not in this case. In general, I think that the best moment of my life is the current moment. Nevertheless, that time, during the carefree holiday, was also great, and in some aspects probably even better than the present. Lack of stress. Plenty of time for everything. Continuous fun.

No wonder, then, that I am trying to come back. I will succeed. I will definitely come back to this wonderful time when I will go to this festival (unfortunately under a different name) again this summer. I have already planned a vacation at work. This is my place on earth. Until then, however, I can also travel regularly in time. Just through music. The full recording of this concert, available even for Spotify, is my little private time machine. It's good that I have it!

And you? Probably you also have the moments to which you would like to come back or at least recreate them as faithfully as possible. Have you already created your own ways to move in time? You'd better do!

The limit of songs per text is already used, so that's all for today. Have a good week!

Patrz w przód!

Look forward! [English version below.]

To wszystko jednak nieważne.

W trakcie prób pisania powstają dziwne nazwy plików i folderów...

Dobrego tygodnia!

ENG:

Last week, I had to dedicate the entire Sunday studying. First classes from 8am at one end of the city, then the master's seminar at the other end, then return to the first place and being there until the evening. Well, I've chosen the fate of an extramural student myself.

Anyway, I would like to focus on this seminar. I entered it with 20 pages of thesis. I left with a maximum of 1.5. I learned that 90% of what I have done so far is suitable for the bin. Is that sad? Sure, a bit like that. After all, a lot of my work went to waste. Honestly, I admit that I expected it a little. That text was not brilliant, because it was written with a bit groping, while I had no contact with the promoter.

However, all this is not important. What is relevant is what I agreed and planned with her and that now I know what to do. A new vision has been created. The better one. The more reasonable one. Thanks to this, over the last week I wrote over 4 pages of a much better text. Little? It may seem like this, but I have in mind that there were days when I did not write anything at all and that I generally did not have much time this week.

Let's focus for a moment. What useful can we conclude from my desperate attempts to graduate? That there's no sense in dealing with what has already happened. What I wrote earlier is not very suitable for anything? All right. I wasted the time? All right. It has already happened and nothing can be done about it. Instead of losing the next moments to remembering the past, one must focus on the future and look at what can be done well. I know what actions I should take, what to write and I stick to that.

Look forward, not back. Only in this way we can do something important.

And the song for today is a polish hit from a few years ago. You can find it above.

That's all for today. Have a nice week!

Wszystkie elementy!

All parts! [English version below].

Lubię to uczucie.

Kolejny przykład - spójność teraźniejszości z przeszłością: w jednej z facebookowych grup, do których należę, ktoś udostępnił dzisiaj humorstyczne nagranie, pewną historię sprzed lat.

To wszystko drobiazgi.

Bez specjalnego powodu taki:

To tyle. Dobrego tygodnia, w którym wszystko zadziała jak trzeba.

ENG:

I will not write about the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity  (WOŚP) today, because the Orchestra's theme is discussed often and widely enough. Please find me only the nearest volunteer and pay attention to the fact that this year, even on TVP Info there is an information about the aforementioned venture, and it is not negative.

My key feeling with this: it should be like that. I have the impression that all the pieces of the puzzle finally get to the right place. I like this feeling. I dare say it is one of the best of all. I appreciate situations where it is just fine and everything works as it should.

Other examples of current events about which I have similar feelings? At your service.

Rationality of actions: a moment ago I received notes from the lecture on which I am currently sitting. Thanks to this I do not have to mindlessly rewrite the next slides. All I need to do is compare what is written to what is being said. I do not waste time. It should be this way.

Another example - the coherence of the present with the past: in one of the Facebook groups to which I belong, someone has made available today a humorous recording, a certain history from before. It reminded me that we listened to this in elementary school at some camp, about 12-13 years ago. It's good that it was found. Immediately after returning home, I will listen to this recording, embarking on a sentimental journey. It gives me a feeling of connection with the past. It should be this way. Obviously, after all these years it's much less funny than then, but it's still nice, that the recording didn't disappear completely.

All things mentioned above are small. Individually they are not really meaningful reasons for joy, but they confirm that the universe works as it should. They are attachment points. They prove that not everything has turned upside down. Thanks to this, you can continue to function normally, plan, build expectations, just live.

So the next time you'll have the impression that the world has gone crazy, that nothing is going well, reverse your thinking. Do not think about the absurd behaviours of politicians, about the expanded bureaucracy, about why at the nearby intersection at the same time a red light for cars and pedestrians is on. Focus on what works properly. Appreciate, analyze and think whether it can be somehow applied to less-efficient things.

You can find weekly piece of music above. It's here for no partiuclar reason, only its beauty.

That's all. Have a good week in which everything will work as it should.
